Study trips

Marlies Vonk made extensive work visits to the USA, Colombia to sketch South American Tango, 
New Orleans,  Aruba and Curacao for the typical, colorful Caribbean Carnival and Japan to sketch Kabuki actors, Sumo wrestlers and to study Geisha life at an authentic Japanese Geisha house.

From 1992 until 1998 she sketched and studied movement at some of the world's top-ballet companies. Such as the famous Martha Graham Ballet Company in New York,  the Dutch National Ballet in Amsterdam and the renowned N.D.T. Nederlands Danstheater, The Hague. 

For her European Master Degree in Arts & Culture 
she took intensive study weeks at the 
Montfort University Leicester/England, 
Universidad del Arte Granada/Spain 
and Fontys University Tilburg/The Netherlands.
