Wij hebben fantastische avonturen beleefd,
geweldige mensen ontmoet,

samen gelachen en samen gehuild

Tot de bodem heb je daarvan genoten
en al jouw talenten benut.

Dank dat ik daar getuige van mocht zijn.
Nu moet ik afscheid van je nemen, maatje.

Ik zal je zo missen,
maar in mijn hart en in mijn schilderijen
zal je verder leven.

Zoals je hebt geleefd,
Zo ben je ook gegaan

  My muse, my mentor, my love
my facilitative all embracing man

  We were adventurous,
met the most wonderful people,

laughed together and cried together.
We lived our dreams.

You lived your life to the last drop
and made the most of all your talents.

Thank you for letting me be part of your life.

Now the time has come to say goodbye,
my dear  companion.  

I will miss you so dearly
but in my heart and in my paintings you will live forever.

You left this life 
the way you lived .
I am so proud of you
